Roberto Cavalli grew up around the arts as his grandfather Giuseppe Rossi, a member of the Macchiailo Movement, shared his creativity with him from a young age. At the age of 17, Cavalli followed in his family’s footsteps and enrolled at the Institute of Art in Florence and specialized in textile design: in particular he focused on printed floral textiles. Then, during the seventies, Cavalli invented a printing procedure on leather and started creating patchworks of different materials. His innovative eye and creative techniques brought him to the attention of prestigious fashion houses including Hermes and Pierre Cardin and at the age of 30, he presented his work at the Salon for Pret-a-Porter in Paris. Following Paris he showed his collection at the Palazzo Pitti in Florence and just two years later in 1972, he opened his first boutique in Saint Tropez. Today, the Roberto Cavalli brand is still known for the same sensual design with a sophisticated rock ‘n’ roll twist.
Perfectly reflecting Cavalli through the ages, these high quality spectacles are totally reflective of his catwalk shows, taking inspiration from florals, fantasy and femininity. Roberto Cavalli Eyewear stays true to the extravagant and sexy lifestyle imagined by the brand.
