The iconic Ray-Ban brand has a long and interesting history, dating back to the 1930s. It began when Bausch & Lomb, an American optics company, were approached by the US Army Air Corps attempting to find eyewear that would reduce glare and prevent headaches and nausea caused by high altitudes. With that, the aviator frames and Ray-Ban brand was born.
