The England WAG's

The partners of England's footballers, often referred to as "WAGs" (wives and girlfriends), have attracted significant media attention over the years. This phenomenon gained prominence during the 2006 World Cup in Germany, where the glamorous lifestyles of players' partners, such as Victoria Beckham, Coleen Rooney, and Cheryl Cole, were widely covered by the press. These WAGs became celebrities in their own right, known for their fashion, social lives, and influence. Their presence at tournaments often creates a media spectacle, adding a layer of public interest and scrutiny to the national team's campaigns. The term "WAG" has since become a staple in British popular culture, reflecting the intersection of sports, celebrity, and media.
