January 2026 Celebrity Eyewear Roundup

January 2026 Celebrity Eyewear Roundup

First of all, allow us to greet you... Happy New Year!

As 2026 begins, we wish you an abundance of optimism, confidence, and impeccable style. While winter temperatures may have settled in across much of the globe, the celebrity calendar shows no signs of slowing down. From low-key street style moments to high-profile awards season appearances, eyewear continues to play a defining role in shaping early-year fashion narratives, setting the tone for the months ahead.

Week 1 & 2

Bella Hadid appeared to kick off the year by joining the celebrity end-of-year Aspen pilgrimage (see our December Eyewear Roundup), stepping out on the first day of 2026 in cool black vintage Gucci sunglasses. The unmistakable Gucci “G” detail remains an enduring house signature and continues to inspire modern designs, including the Gucci GG1680S 001, which reinterprets the look with slimmer temples and a contemporary edge.

Meanwhile, across the Atlantic in sun-drenched Miami, German-based model and Dutch television personality Sylvie Meis embraced the contrasting climate, wearing yellow tortoiseshell Bottega Veneta BV1273S 005 Drop Aviator sunglasses.

The 37th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards

Held on 3 January, this year’s ceremony highlighted a diverse slate of globally acclaimed films and performances that are expected to dominate the 2026 awards conversation.

Miley Cyrus delivered effortless edge with a wavy fringe and a pair of trending black Tom Ford Penn-02 TF1362 01V sunglasses, finished with striking blue lenses.

Colman Domingo, ever the epitome of refined elegance, complemented his rich brown tuxedo with tortoiseshell Saint Laurent SL 596 Dune 003 aviator sunglasses.

Still part of the Palm Springs International Film Festival celebrations, Variety magazine hosted its Creative Impact Awards Brunch at the iconic Parker Hotel. Among the standout style sightings, Zoë Kravitz embodied effortless daytime elegance, arriving in black Saint Laurent Sun SL M136 001 oval sunglasses.

The 31st Critics' Choice Awards

Presented on 4 January at the Barker Hangar at Santa Monica Airport, the annual recognition event returned to honour the finest achievements in film and television from 2025.

On stage, Brazilian actor Wagner Moura (with a consistent presence across major nominations this awards season) wore black Tom Ford TF5583-B optical glasses while presenting the Best Film award. While this colourway is now discontinued, the model remains available in both light and dark tortoiseshell.

On the red carpet, rapper and actor Ashley Walters was seen in ruthenium and grey Tom Ford FT5874 optical glasses. The exact frame is available for pre-order, with delivery expected in March 2026, while clear transparent and transparent green versions with gold temples are currently in stock.

Elsewhere in Los Angeles, actress Erin Doherty was spotted arriving at Jimmy Kimmel Live! wearing gold Loewe Metal LW40115U 30A sunglasses with grey lenses; a sleek, modern choice that perfectly aligned with her contemporary, androgynous style.

In Inglewood, just outside Los Angeles, Snoop Dogg joined the NBC broadcast team wearing gold Bottega Veneta BV1305S 002 Sardine aviator sunglasses with light brown lenses during a basketball game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors.

Golden Eve

On 6 January, the Golden Globes hosted a special evening at The Beverly Hilton, honouring two towering figures of film and television: Helen Mirren and Sarah Jessica Parker. The celebratory event brought together industry leaders, creatives, and cultural tastemakers to recognise careers that have shaped decades of storytelling, style, and screen legacy.

Walton Goggins, who has remained loyal to Saint Laurent throughout the past season, accessorising his signature swagger with black Saint Laurent Sun SL 462 Sulpice 001 sunglasses.

Best-selling author and motivational speaker Mel Robbins attended the event wearing Cutler and Gross 0772V2 B Black optical glasses; a frame that has become her true visual signature, projecting authority, intelligence, and confidence.

Music icon Babyface made a bold statement in black and gold Balmain Major BPS-147A shield sunglasses, a striking model that has since been discontinued.

Pop culture content creator and entertainment host Juju Green, widely known as Straw Hat Goofy, appeared polished and camera-ready in Ray-Ban RB 6396 5784 optical glasses, a clean, contemporary choice that suited his modern media presence.

In New York City, actress Sadie Sink was spotted stepping out in black Prada PR B15S 16K731 sunglasses, instantly elevating her look with its distinctive curved silhouette.

Make way, ladies and gentlemen, for international heartthrob Shane Hollander (oops, we meant by Hudson Williams from the hit show Heated Rivalry) as he was spotted arriving at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon studios in New York City. His eyewear choice was impossible to miss: black Ray-Ban Wayfarer Puffer sunglasses paired with striking violet lenses. While we currently stock this model with ultra-black lenses, the exact version worn by Hudson can be specially ordered; simply leave us a message for enquiries.

As the new year unfolds, optimism is firmly in the air, and eyewear remains one of the most powerful style statements celebrities continue to embrace.

At Pretavoir, we remain committed to bringing you the world’s largest selection of eyewear as worn by celebrities worldwide, combining exceptional quality with expert service; ensuring your 2026 begins with vision, confidence, and unmistakable style.
