Celebrity Eyewear at Saint Laurent Paris Fashion Week

It was a womenswear show, and for Anthony Vaccarello’s vision to be this feminine (furs! lace! lamé and latex so slinky they looked almost wet... and more pencil skirts than trousers!) compared to previous seasons — took us by surprise. The stronger presence of male celebrities in attendance felt almost equal, if not more dominant… or is it just us?

Broad-shouldered smoking jackets opened the show, a familiar Saint Laurent signature, before it became clear that lingerie was the true opium of the collection; and yes, even eroticism was rendered in colour-blocking too. Add bordeaux tights underneath and the styling becomes simply irresistible. Most looks were paired with chunky, maximalist, sculptural jewellery, making it feel like a voyage to a specific era of Yves Saint Laurent’s directorship, when orientalism heavily influenced the house, and perhaps even a nod to Stefano Pilati’s tenure, when statement jewellery became best-selling icons.

The sunglasses remained sleek and slim — silhouettes long associated with the Parisian house. Four of the 49 looks presented were accessorised with glacier-style metal shield sunglasses, a mountaineering-inspired design featuring extended side guards, or temple shields, to block peripheral light.

This silver model was first showcased during the Fall/Winter 2024 show: the Saint Laurent SL 750 with grey lenses, which is currently available to purchase. For the coming season, however, Saint Laurent has introduced a new colourway featuring brown lenses, set to arrive at Pretavoir this autumn.

A Saint Laurent presentation would not be complete without a celebrity-filled front row in directional shades. Here they are…

Unlike the previous season, where the maison closed Paris Fashion Week, Saint Laurent — under the sharp eye of Anthony Vaccarello — shifted its slot to open the uber stylish calendar on 29 September 2025. The runway was a feast of volume, ruffles (a surprising yet refreshing addition from Vaccarello), and sumptuous leathers that electrified the first night. But as much as the silhouettes captivated, it was the statement sunglasses, worn from Bella Hadid to Mona Tougaard, that gave the collection its signature edge.

And of course, Saint Laurent shows are never just about what walks the runway: it’s about who’s watching! This season, the front row and arrivals were as dazzling as ever, with A-listers serving looks that proved Saint Laurent sunglasses truly shine brightest at night.

Saint Laurent Closes Paris Fashion Week with Fall/Winter 2025 Collection

On March 11, 2025, Saint Laurent brought Paris Fashion Week to a stunning close with an awe-inspiring showcase of bold silhouettes and effortless sophistication. Hosted beneath the shimmering lights of the Eiffel Tower, the grand affair unfolded on a sleek black onyx stage, exuding an air of refined luxury. A host of A-list attendees filled the front row, with the likes of Austin Butler, Zoë Kravitz, Kid Cudi, and Charli XCX taking their seats to witness Anthony Vaccarello’s latest sartorial masterpiece.

Renowned for his structured tailoring and sharp lines, Vaccarello's Fall/Winter 2025 collection redefined power dressing. The runway was dominated by strong shoulders and impeccably cut blazers, which were paired with form-fitting pencil skirts and oversized bomber jackets. With a seamless blend of masculine and feminine elements, the collection showcased precise tailoring, luxurious materials, and an undeniable air of confidence. Every piece reflected Vaccarello's dedication to construction and cut, reinforcing the signature aesthetic that defines Saint Laurent.

Among the standout accessories that graced the show, eyewear took center stage. Bella Hadid, who captivated audiences in the previous Saint Laurent runway show, sported the now-iconic SL 815 ROMY sunglasses. These striking rectangular frames encapsulate the house's distinctive fusion of classic elegance and modern edge. Crafted from high-quality acetate, the SL 815 ROMY sunglasses deliver both durability and a refined finish, making them a must-have for those who appreciate understated luxury. Their minimalist branding and clean lines ensure they complement everything from structured tailoring to relaxed, off-duty ensembles.

Available in timeless shades like black and tortoiseshell, the sunglasses offer versatility for those looking to embrace Saint Laurent’s effortlessly cool aesthetic.

Hailey Bieber was another notable attendee, turning heads with her refined yet minimalistic ensemble. True to her signature style, Bieber opted for a sleek, monochromatic outfit, perfectly aligned with Saint Laurent’s timeless elegance. She elevated her look with a pair of statement vintage frames.

For those eager to replicate the runway’s effortlessly chic aesthetic, the SL 815 ROMY sunglasses will be available for purchase at Pretavoir in April.

On the runway at Paris Fashion Week all of the models walking the Saint Laurent A/W 25 Show were all wearing the same sunglasses. These oversized cat-eye sunglasses feature sleek black lenses with a bold, shield-like effect, accented by a striking crystal embellishment at the bridge. The thick temples make them a statement of high-fashion sophistication, very in-keeping with Saint Laurent's chic persona.
