Every September, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) transforms Canada’s cultural capital into a global stage for cinema. With its mix of red-carpet glamour and world-premiere screenings, TIFF has become a launchpad for award-season contenders and a magnet for Hollywood A-listers, international auteurs, and fashion insiders alike. The 51st Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF '26) runs from 10 to 20 September 2026, bringing 293 titles, major premieres and its annual TIFF Tribute Awards honouring names including Helen Mirren, Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Fan Bingbing. This year also marks the debut of TIFF: The Market and a significant change to the Platform Prize, with its winners now gaining automatic Academy Award eligibility.

From I Play Rocky to Wild Horse Nine, TIFF '26 has delivered plenty of cinematic buzz alongside its usual dose of red carpet glamour. And while the stars brought their fashion A game, eyewear proved equally worthy of the spotlight. 

Following the warm reception of The Man I Love at the Telluride Film Festival the previous week, Rami Malek continued the film's festival run at TIFF '26 on 16 September. He was seen wearing black Tom Ford Penn-02 TF1362 01A sunglasses upon arrival.

The Man I Love co-star Tom Sturridge was also present at the Toronto International Film Festival, wearing tortoise Saint Laurent Sun SL 83 002 square sunglasses.

Biographical drama Elsinore premiered on 14 September at TIFF '26. Lead actress Billie Piper attended the screening wearing black Gucci GG2065S 001 sunglasses featuring gold monogram inlay, a new release for 2026.
