O'Neill sunglasses - The Historic Californian Brand
O'Neill Sunglasses is a cultivation of this rich history and experience. The brand was born in 1952 when founder Jack O’Neill began designing and producing the world’s first neoprene wetsuits. He owned a surf shop in a garage off the Great Highway in San Francisco. Word of O’Neill's craftsmanship spread and surfers from all over the world began travelling to his garage to get their surfboards shaped and custom-made wetsuits. Many of his customers claimed that, when wearing his designs, they could 'surf better, for longer'. It wasn't long before Jack’s work expanded to include windsurfers, divers, water skiers and snow skiers. By the 1980s, Jack O’Neill’s garage had become an international brand.
Today, O’Neill continues to produce the finest, most robust, enduring, and stylish surf and sportswear clothing and accessories. Continuously working with innovators and enthusiasts, O'Neill pushes the technical boundaries of what sports clothing can be. With their simple ethos that 'life is good', the brand are committed to living and behaving ethically and responsibly in everything they do.
Oneill's sunglasses collection draws inspiration from California beaches, from the sea to the sand to the sunsets. Each frame takes on the rugged wilderness of the North Californian coast and the brand's surfing roots. They are designed with both style and function in mind, focusing on durability and protection from the sun's harmful rays. The collection ranges from classic aviators to wayfarer designs, as well as more modern and sporty styles. Their sunglasses also feature the use of polarised lenses in some models. They are designed to reduce glare and improve visibility in bright sunlight, making them a popular choice for outdoor activities and sports.
