Givenchy Sunglasses
Givenchy sunglasses are elegant, sensual and romantic paying impeccable homage to the styles that characterizes the Givenchy Maison. Hubert de Givenchy, born in 1927, his family's wealthy social status developed from his father's side in the 18th Century, and artistic professions ran through his mother's family. Givenchy lost his father in 1930 and therefore was raised largely by his mother and maternal grandmother from whom he inherited his passion for fabrics. With this new found passion Givenchy left his hometown at the age of 17 for Paris where he studied at Ecole des Beaux-Arts and apprenticed at many courtier houses such as Robert Piguet, Lucien Lelong and Elsa Schiaparelli. The Givenchy brand launched a women's ready-to-wear collection in 1952 and a menswear line in 1969.
